Story: ‘Silverfish’

On wet nights they climb into your ear when you’re asleep and drink your memories. That’s what makes them silver.

Bugs are gross! And so is this strange story. But I love it a lot (and actually, insects are amazing), and I’m planning to revisit these characters and their faintly odd relationship in future stories.

You can read ‘Silverfish’ in the latest issue of Honest Ulsterman. If you have any thoughts on this peculiar tale, please do share them on this page or on Twitter, where you can find me @davidbrookesuk.
